SAN DIEGO SPORTFISHING COUNCIL
The San Diego Sportfishing Council was established in 1979 as a non-profit association to provide information on and to promote sportfishing from San Diego Bay.
Our member companies together represent 70 passenger vessels, ranging in size from 45′ – 120′ in length, capable of trips from 1/2 day to 23 days in length.
Our mission is to highlight the extraordinary sportfishing and ocean recreation opportunities available with the San Diego fleet, making “how, when and where” information and access to San Diego sportfishing available to the widest audience.
Several of our events are designed as an introduction to the experience of sportfishing.
Day At The Docks is one such key outreach which attracts expert anglers, novice anglers and the not yet fishing public. Other Sportfishing Council programs provide free mentored pier and ocean-going sportfishing experiences for young anglers and students.
